Update: A Final Resting Place for Mae

First, our family wants to thank everyone who has donated, shared this page, reached out, and shared your beautiful memories of Mae. The amount of love we’ve seen from her friends, coworkers, surfing community, and everyone whose life she touched has been overwhelming and has brought us so much comfort.

After looking at different options, we finally found a beautiful final resting place for Mae—somewhere peaceful where our family, her friends, and everyone who loves her can visit, bring flowers, talk to her, and continue to honor and remember her for many years to come.

It means so much to us knowing that Mae will have a permanent place where the people who loved her can always find her.

We have now received the estimate for Mae’s funeral arrangements, cremation, and permanent resting place, and the total is approximately $28,000.

This is more than our family initially anticipated, so we are humbly reaching out once again and asking for your help. Any amount truly helps. Every donation will go toward giving Mae the beautiful farewell and resting place we believe she deserves.

We will also be honoring Mae’s love for the ocean with her Celebration of Life & Paddle Out on November 14, surrounded by the surfing community and so many of the people she loved.

I’m raising funds for my beloved baby sister, Jerie Mae Ibale, who passed away unexpectedly. Her loss has left our family heartbroken, and we were not prepared for the sudden funeral and memorial expenses that come with saying goodbye so soon.

Jerie Mae was adventurous, carefree, and deeply loving. She brought that spirit to the people around her, and we want to honor her life with a beautiful and meaningful farewell that reflects who she was and how much she means to our family.
