Jericho and Emery come home

Jake and Alana and big sister Finnley welcomed twin girls Emery and Jericho on August 15th, 2023. Pre-eclampsia decided their due date and birth location and Alana and Jake were med-evacc'd by helicopter from the Big Island to Oahu to safely deliver their twins at a hospital with a NICU. For almost two weeks, Jake and Alana stayed on Oahu until both twins were discharged from the NICU, Alana still recovering from surgery and pre-ecclampsia issues. Finally on 8/29/23 Jake and Alana were able to fly back to Hawi on the Big Island and introduce the twins to their big sister in person. With unpaid leave from work, Jake and Alana pulled together resources to survive their time waiting in Oahu. All are well, but finances for all of this have posed an insurmountable challenge.

My name is Dawn and I worked side by side with Alana for years in a busy COVID-slammed ER . Alana has given her all to her patient population and her family. I want to relieve their financial situation and alleviate their worries so they can focus on their new family. All donated funds will go directly to Jake and Alana and their family.
