My name is Sarah, and I am raising funds to help Jeri and her family with medical bills and ancillary costs.

On 2/8/2024 Jeri became ill with what still has not been clearly defined by various doctors. Jeri's illness began with paralysis in her legs that gradually moved up until she was no longer able to breath on her own. Under the care of UK, she was intubated with a breathing tube, eating via a feeding tube, and undergoing dialysis to help her kidneys get strong again. Jeri spent weeks in the ICU, then the PCU, and is now hopefully getting close to going inpatient rehabilitation to continue her recovery.

It has been a long journey that is thankfully resulting with positive results and forward progress. She has gained feeling in her legs again, her lungs are finally working on their own again, and her kidneys are making a remarkable recovery. Jeri is no longer having to be fed through a tube and she is on her way to walking again! If you ask her what she is most excited about it, it is getting to name her mystery diagnosis one day.

While she has made all of this progress, her road to recovery is still long. As we all know, Insurance only covers so much and the bills are continuing to pile up. Funds will be used to cover medical bills and all the other costs that have accrued with being out of work for so long.

Jeri would never ask anyone for help, so that's why I am here. If you know her, you love her and her family unconditionally. She has always given everything she has to everyone she loves, and now it's our turn.
