Jeremy's Journey: A Micro-Farm Dream

My son Jeremy has MS and is unable to work a conventional job. However, I have found a solution for his small and very poor family: Micro-Farming.

I've helped him write a business plan that involves a turnkey micro-farming operation: farmhouse, greenhouses, well, septic, solar power, etc., and leveraged federal, state, and county grant programs, but that is not enough…

We have found the land in Tehachapi, CA, and convinced a landowner to carry a note, but it’s a lot for him to take on. $32k for the land, but it’s perfect!

I want to appeal to the masses here and hope that the generous nature of Americans will make a difference in one family's life here.

Jeremy, Ashley, and Karsyn need $350k to totally transform their lives! They are taking the micro-farming classes that Kern County offers; a prerequisite for applying for the $25k of grants available. The grants are only available after the farm is established…

Jeremy has the greenest thumb I’ve ever seen and a greenhouse based farming solution is perfect for him. He is (of course) worried about what will happen to his family if and when the disease progresses, a horrifying thought for a parent to see their kid go through!

The micro-farm could be his salvation or in the worst case scenario, it could be his legacy. I’m rooting for the salvation angle as I feel my Son has suffered enough in this life.
