Update March 2026- Jeremy’s Cancer Fight
Well, friends. It’s been awhile. Life has taken many turns and flips since my last update. Again, this is Maycie. Jeremy’s daughter / sidekick. I am updating here for a few reasons, bear with me, this is heavy. First- THANK YOU for your donations in the past. It kept my dad doing oxygen therapy- cryo therapy- and allowed us to try some homeopathic things to save him. As many of you know, we were doing okay for awhile. My dad did chemotherapy- and after that, we realized the chemo did not do that we hoped. So, we were transferred to UC Davis trial team. There, my dad and I sat in a very scary appointment with radiology about a trial with Pluvicto & Immunotherapy. My dad would have to do 6 week cycles of this- and after his medicine, he had to stay 6 feet away from anyone, especially children. He got to stay at my grandmas house and they took great care of him. That was an INTENSE treatment. This is where dad began to have really big issues with side effects. Nausea, throwing up, feeling sore, and all of a sudden within this time frame, we went VERY downhill. All the while, dad maintained normal life.. by that I mean he loved and showered us and my kids in silly banter, Disney trips that we drug him on, and endless papa Bo dates that filled his heart as much as it did my little boy.
well, around October, my dad got admitted to the hospital for one issue or another and they did a scan on his brain and found out that the cancer had gone to his menengis of his brain. This is where everything went downhill. From there, I met my dad in the hospital room where he collapsed into me saying “I’ve tried everything why isn’t it working?”
To be honest, this has been the most intense and surreal 6 months. My dad has stopped being able to be self sufficient, we got to a spot where he was sleeping all 24 hours of the day and not wanting to eat. Now, he cannot stand, move, or re position without someone helping. He needs 24/7 care. Yes, for those of you who know my dad…. This is HARD for him. He often tells me he’s so sore he just cannot get comfortable.
Friends, the reason I’m updating is for two reasons. Number one, I believe in the healing power of Jesus Christ and I believe he can be healed of this disease. So please, pray!
number two- my dad needs 24/7 care. My mom is a day by day worker, so taking time off would jeopardize their home because she is the one keeping things afloat. Any donations helps lower that load so she can be off more to help him… or maybe even a home health nurse. Any suggestions on that would be awesome.
I write this with such heaviness. Man, those who know our family know my dad is just the one we all run to. Watching him suffer, and I mean truly suffer, has changed every one of us in this family forever.
He is so loved. We will stand by him in this until the very end. We are grateful for every one of you that love him.
if you have any questions, you can call me
(Maycie) . My mom is operating with no sleep, working a lot and being a caretaker so I can answer any questions you have!
with so much love,
