A few days ago, I was riding my motorcycle when someone ran out in front of me. I hit them going 30mph. My femur shattered. I was rushed into emergency surgery, and now… I’m in bed, unable to walk, unable to ride, and unable to do the thing that’s given my life purpose: creating.
If you’ve followed my journey, you know this isn’t just a job to me. Exploring the forgotten, telling stories that move people- this is who I am. But now? I can’t stand on my own.
The road ahead isn’t short. Doctors are saying it’ll be 4 to 6 months before I can walk without help, possibly longer before I’m back to full strength. That’s months of not being able to work and not being able to create the way I used to.
This injury has flipped my world upside down. The physical pain is real, but the emotional weight has been heavier. I’ve lost my independence, my momentum, and for now- my sense of direction.
I’ve never been great at asking for help. But right now, I need it.
I created this GoFundMe not just to cover medical costs, but to survive this season- to keep my life afloat while I recover, to hold onto the future I’ve been building piece by piece.
If my work has ever inspired you, moved you, or made you see the world a little differently… I hope you’ll consider being part of this next chapter with me.
I’ll come back from this stronger. With more depth, more purpose, and more stories to tell.
Thank you for being here.
Truly.
