Firefighter Lt. Jeremy Burke

Jeremy Burke has been an Austin Firefighter for 16 years, and is currently a Lieutenant assigned to station 14. On Sunday October 18th, firefighters responded to a fire call with reported trapped victim. While searching inside the burning building for victims, the roof collapsed on three firefighters. Jeremy was caught under burning debris. He was able to self-extricate himself but not before suffering burns. He was transported to Brackenridge Hospital to be treated. He is currently recovering from his injuries with the love and support of his family and fellow firefighters. 

Firefighters risk their lives daily to protect their community and fellow firefighters. Let us show Jeremy our respect and love for his selflessness and commitment to his job. Let our community help him and his family in their time of need.
