My name is Joyce Beaulieu, I have created this GoFundMe campaign for my brother Jeremy Beaulieu. He needs your help, support, love, and prayers. On April 27th 2018 our lives were drastically changed, as Jeremy suffered a major stroke at the age of 38.
Jeremy served in the Air Force for 12 years. He is great father to his 9 year old son Zachary and enjoys spending time with his family. He loves football and his favorite team is the Arizona Cardinals. He also loves music and his favorite band is Metallica.
Back Story:
Jeremy was spending time with his 9-year-old son, Zachary when just before dinner he fell to the ground. Zachary called for help immediately after watching his father fall and was unresponsive. Medical responders rushed Jeremy to UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central and went straight into surgery, he had hit is head when he fell.
Jeremy had suffered a severe stroke, an Ischemic stroke to be more specific. This type of stroke occurs when a blood clot blocks the artery supplying the blood to the brain. On top of having this stoke, the surgeon also informed the family that Jeremy had numerous blood clots. One of which was clogging the main artery to the brain as well as others that were located on the left side of his brain.
After surgery, we weren't out of the woods quite yet. That night I sat with my other brother, Jason, watching Jeremy fight for his life. That night he suffered through multiple seizures and was unable to regulate his body temperature. Thankfully by the next afternoon, medical staff was able to stabilize him.
Jeremy had multiple surgeries following his initial surgery that Friday night. One of the major surgeries performed was a craniotomy due to the swelling in his brain. The surgeons has to remove part of his skull to expose his brain and help reduce the swelling and prevent any further damage. Another surgery performed was a tracheotomy. This is done to help Jeremy breath, inserting a breathing tube into his windpipe and connecting him to a ventilator assisting him in his breathing. During a procedure to insert a nasogastric tube, his medical team found a bleeding ulcer in Jeremy's stomach and had to stop the procedure immediately. The medical team then had to go in and removal the ulcer and stop the bleeding.

After these many surgeries and some much-needed healing. The swelling in his brain went down enough to allow surgeons to reattach the bone flap that was removed.
After 31 days spent in the ICU, Jeremy has been transferred to Craig Hospital to start his road to recovery.
Currently, Jeremy is unable to move his right side of his body. He can answer questions with "yes" or "no" but is unable to speak. Although he has made huge strides to be able to be transferred up to Craig Hospital. We still have a long way to go before he will able to come home.
All funds donated will be going towards to medical bills, the ambulance rides and ICU, as well as, the months of rehabilitation he will be going through at Craig Hospital.
Any and all donations are greatly appreciated. Our entire family cannot begin to express the love and support that we have had during this time.
Please continue to pray for Jeremy, his son and family as we embark on this Journey.
