My name is Amy and I am asking for help on behalf of me and my family.
On April 28th, 2017 our worlds were turned upside down when my 14 year old brother Jeremy was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called DSRCT also known as Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor.
DSRCT is extremely rare and aggressive. Fewer than 200 cases have been reported, because so few people have DSRCT, only a small amount of information on treatment results is available which aren't very successful most of the time. Currently DSRCT has a 15% five-year survival rate.
More DSRCT Information
Jeremy since he was born has always been an active, outgoing, extremely goofy and happy spirit who loved being outside riding his bike or his skateboard with all of his cousins and friends but since his diagnosis it has been a very long, hard, and life-changing 16 months for him undergoing extensive hospital visits, chemotherapy's, port placements, cell extractions, failed treatments, bed rest, nausea, and as well as physical, emotional, and mental pain. But to no surprise he is still the same outgoing boy whos trying to stay strong and brave for his family. It is amazing to see him smile, joke, and laugh still even with all he’s been through. Jeremy has his mom and dad, 2 older siblings, a sister (me), a brother Matthew, and 2 dogs Shadow and Hugo who he calls his “children” whom he loves very much and we love him too and we would all love to be able to still grow up together but we know with cancer not everybody wins..
Despite all his treatments and his strong battling, this malignant cancer is showing no signs of remission and is growing and spreading.

Jeremy is now in the last rounds of his fight and has been taken off treatment and has recently been put into hospice care at the age of 15.. awaiting new treatments and trials to be discovered for this
horrible disease.
I’m asking for any help whether it be 10 cents or 10 dollars to prayers, good thoughts, good vibes, etc. This fund will help pay for medical bills and if it should happen one day then the funds will be used for his end of life costs, memorial/cremation, and help our family with some time to somewhat mend our broken hearts.

My family and I are greatly thankful and appreciative of any and all help!
Thank you for taking time to read this.
Much love, the Tovar Family.
