Need Help! Jeramey Woolsey is a star with local law enforcement because he loves to participate in Special Olympics and he loves collecting hundreds of Police Department, Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) patches across the United States.
WE ARE SEEKING $1,000 MORE TO PURCHASE A WASHER AND DRYER FOR THEM!
UPDATE: August 22, 2019 - Jeramey and his mom were living for the last year and a half in their van (since March 6, 2018). We initially were just trying to raise $2,500 to get them out of the heat into a hotel, but the love of our friends far surpassed that goal. Due to all those who donated, forwarded requests for donations and prayed for them, Jeramey and his mom were able to move into their own apartment after staying in a hotel for only 12 days. They are thoroughly enjoying having their own air-conditioned place, and Jeramey is loving his bedroom with his own bed, dresser, laptop and desk. Jeramey is using the laptop to continue with his passion of collecting Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Services patches from around the world. Social service agencies are covering the majority of their monthly apartment rent, so for now, they are stable and safe. In addition, the funds raised were able to be used to pay for:
- A ball glove and ball to be used for Special Olympics softball skill building
- Jeramey's portion of rent for the apartment
- The pet fee at the apartment so that Jeramey and his mom are reunited with their 3 cats
- Furniture for their apartment - 2 Dressers, Mirror, Full Bed with Headboard, Mattress Set, Loveseat, TV Console, Desk, Recliner
- Mattress cover, sheets, pillow cases, Illini comforter, 3 regular pillows, 1 Cubs pillow
- Modem and Router, 2-year Protection Plan, 3 Power Cords
- Desk, 2 Desk Chairs, Laptop, 2-Year protection plan, McAfee Computer Protection, Laptop carrying case, Power strip, hanging files and paper
- Microwave
- 4 garbage cans and liners and a step stool
We are currently seeking to raise about $1000 more to purchase a washer and a dryer for them. This will significantly help them with household expenses, since water is included in their rent. Any left over funding will be used to buy them furniture and household needs. Please GIVE if you are able, and please SHARE this request with others! Thanks so much for any help you can provide. I guarantee that Jeramey and his mama will sincerely appreciate your support.
ANY EXTRA FUNDS RAISED WILL BE USED FOR JERAMEY'S HOUSING AND TRANSPORTATION NEEDS GOING FORWARD!!
