On January 15th at 5:30 pm on the way home J was in a horrific motorcycle accident due to front brake failure.

Thankfully to a guardian angel named, Russell, administering first aid at the scene and an amazing trauma team, he is still alive, but has a very long road ahead of him.

His injuries include: right arm 95% severed, broken in multiple places, broken hand and fingers - they were able to reattach but he has no feeling or movement and the possibility for amputation is a real option in the near future. Severe head trauma. Right knee has been crushed along with a torn ACL and meniscus. Left knee torn ACL. A ripped subclavian artery. Severe nerve damage throughout his entire body.

He has already endured 3 major surgeries and blood transfusions. The future holds another 3-7 surgeries.

Unfortunately J has no health insurance to cover the extensive medical bills that were accumlated during 4 days in Trama I.C.U. in a medically induced coma and 3 days in I.C.U. un addition, he has future surgeries, rehabilitation, physical therapy, occupational therapy and necessary medical devices.

J is a father to an amazing 5 year old boy, an older brother to a brother and two sisters and a boyfriend.

His entire life has been changed by this accident some for the bad but also some good. His strength, determination and extremely positive attitude is definitely going to help him get through this.
