Jeremy and his family were on their holiday vacation seeing the sites in Nashville, Tennessee. All went great so they ventured to visit family. They were creating memories that would last a lifetime. As they were ending their trip, Jeremy woke up Tuesday morning not feeling well. They jumped to the obvious and tried to get him tested for Covid but the wait was 4+ hours so they decided to drive home to what they expected to be a positive Covid test and family quarantine into Christmas. Wednesday morning they went to the ER for the Covid test. Jeremy was having trouble breathing, had a fever that wouldn’t break, a strange rash everywhere, was very fatigued and had extreme body pain. He struggled to move, walk and lift his arms. The ER tested him for Covid, Flu and strep, all came back negative. He was admitted to the hospital immediately. He has had every test, scan and probe that the doctors can come up with. As of Friday, they discovered he has Meningitis. His spirits seem to go up with the found diagnosis. His fun loving silly personality started to shine through again as he offered to help the nurse with their rounds because he was bored. Saturday evening there were some complications and he was rushed into emergency surgery to repair a sudden tear in his intestines. There are still so many unknowns. The family is now working on getting Jeremy transferred to another hospital to provide Jeremy the best possible care.
We all know Jeremy as a fun, wild, caring, hard working friend who can be counted on for anything at the drop of a hat! Not to include the endless laughs we experienced brought to us by his witty, humorous personality. We all want the same thing for Jeremy; to get the best possible healthcare so that he can begin his road to recovery. This entire unexpected journey will come with an immense amount of financial burden. If you are able to donate to Jeremy and his family to help them get through this, they would be forever grateful.
