Jeremy Maus was in a terrible accident just days before Thanksgiving. Jeremy was visiting his son and family in Iowa and was struck by a truck while in a crosswalk. Jeremy suffered a massive skull fracture, swelling and bruising in his frontal cortex.
Jeremy's LOML (Love of my Life), Kara Seager, flew out to be with him the following morning and did not leave his side. After an emotional week and a half in the ICU, Jeremy was released and Kara and Jeremy flew back to NH this past Friday. Unfortunately, Kara came home to a broken water heater which is going to be a sizable repair.
Jeremy is currently a patient at Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital in Portsmouth but will be released this Saturday. Kara and Jeremy just found out today that he will require 24-hour supervision for at least his first two weeks home. This will require a home health aid which is not covered by insurance.
Jeremy and Kara have a long road and much uncertainty ahead of them. Many of you have asked how you can help. At this time, I ask that we come together as a community to provide funds to help take care of the home health aid, water heater, meals, gas, snow removal, and other possible expenses that may arise due to this horrific tragedy.
