Help Jeremy Koz Replace Stolen Equipment
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
Jeremy Koz has been a friend of mine for ten years and he is an ongoing beacon of light in our music and arts community.
Last week on Wednesday, Jeremy Koz' car was stolen while he was placing an order at Henderson Burgers in Elmwood.
Inside the car was the equipment that Jeremy uses on a daily basis for his livelihood. It included one MacBook, one PC laptop, an iPhone 14 Pro, 4 microphones, a mixing board, a ton of cables, microphone stands and other equipment he uses for live music events. It was all critical music equipment that he needs to work in live music, gone in an instant.
His car was found by the police in horrible shape and everything listed above was stolen in the auto theft incident. He is working with Autopac to get covered for his car damages but the equipment inside the vehicle has not been found.
To an artist, your laptop hold so much more value than the item itself. It had years of song lyrics, creative projects, photography, videography, essentially, a ton of assets that comprise Jeremy Koz' life's work. As a close friend of his for years, I've seen Jeremy support the music and entertainment community and far beyond in countless ways. I was talking to my friend Angie Lamirande about how we could support him as a community in this time of hardship. We decided to create this GoFundMe to rally community support.
This GoFund Me is in place to help Jeremy replace the equipment that he needs to continue working as an incredible member of Winnipeg's hardworking and talented music community.
We will be sharing this far and wide and I'm going to drop the first donation right now. Please join me in helping Jeremy, our friend and brother who is such a kind, generous, compassionate musician, event organizer, artist and all around truly wonderful person.
