Jeremy Hoffman is fighting stage 4 cancer

Background.

We build this Go Fund Me for my brother, Jeremy Hoffman.  Many people know him, but for the ones that don’t, Jeremy is a deeply caring man, who has had a string of health issues.  Jeremy is the type of person that is always going above and beyond for others and never asks for anything in return.  He recently has been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer of the Colon and Liver. He is so selfless that he would not ask for anyone’s help, so we are stepping in to set this up on his behalf. It’s all of our turns to be there for him in his time of need.

About Jeremy.

Jeremy is deeply devoted to his family; he is the caretaker for his younger brother Chris and his elderly stepfather Tony.  He was extremely active in college, serving on the executive boards of a number of student organizations including WSG (Whitewater Student Government), RHA(Residence Hall association), NRHH(National Residence Hall Honorary), the UC Building Committee, and many others. He is a current employee at ALTA Resources, where his job it to help customers that are having issues with their purchased products. Recently he was the recipient of an award recognizing his hard work and dedication to serving those customers.

How would my money help?

It almost goes without saying, but medical expenses for a cancer diagnosis are not a small burden. The proceeds of this drive will go to offset medical as well as a handful of other personal expenses for Jeremy during his battle with Cancer (i.e. - It would be helpful to move Jeremy’s bedroom to the first floor of his home, etc.).

Is there anything else I could do?

Jeremy has touched many peoples’ lives over the years, and it is not easy to know exactly how to spread the word.  If you have friends that might be interested in helping Jeremy, please share the link below to this go fund me.

 Testimonials.

Jeremy has been there whenever I needed help.  Jeremy is the most amazing younger brother that a sister could ever have or ask for. I am so blessed to have him in my family.  He truly has a Heart of Gold.

I got sick a few years back, having contracted NF (Necrotizing Fasciitis). As I lay sitting in my hospital bed missing a large chunk of my leg, I got an unexpected visitor, Jeremy.  The part that was unexpected wasn’t that Jeremy was not a friend, as he is one of my best friends.  It also wasn’t because he didn’t like hospitals, having been in hospital care a few times himself, and in fact I had gone and seen him most of the times he had to go in.  The part that was unexpected was that he was working mandatory overtime and I had thought that he wouldn’t be able to make it down. It took me until a year later and the date stamp on a picture of him visiting me to put it together, it was 12/24…he took part of his Christmas eve to drive over an hour (each way) to come visit me. But that is the kind of guy Jeremy is.

I remember one time that we were working a fundraising event for RHA, we were helping drop off mini-fridges to fund yearly programming for on-campus students.  Jeremy volunteered for the worst job.  I didn’t know him that well before, but after that day of hard work he earned my respect.

 Anything Else?

If you have read this far it’s a fair guess to assume that you are either moved by Jeremy’s situation, or that he has impacted your life somehow. If a financial contribution is not possible for you currently, we understand.  But it would be a huge help if you can share this go fund me with your social network.      Thank you.
