As many of you have already heard, Jeremy Graves was in an accident on his motorcycle this past Sunday, 1/13/19. He suffered several broken bones: left femur (thigh), left tibia/fibula (shin), left radius/ulna (forearm), left clavicle (collarbone) and right radial head (at the elbow). Several (femur, tib/fib & radius/ulna) required immediate surgical intervention, which was done Sunday night at Natividad Medical Center. He is currently having surgery on his left collarbone.
Outside of these major injuries, Jeremy developed Rhabdomyolysis from the trauma his muscles suffered in the accident. Thankfully, that was caught early, and is no longer a concern.
He suffered no injuries to his head or internal organs, and we are so thankful for that! Jeremy has started PT and improves everyday. But progress is slow and he has a long road ahead.
So many have already reached out, and we cannot fully express how grateful we are for your kind words, thoughts and prayers! The outpouring of love has been incredible! Thank you to everyone who has sent us messages, flowers and cards!
We also would like to thank the Trauma, Surgical & ICU Teams at Natividad Medical Center! Without their amazing efforts, Jeremy could have had a much more difficult road ahead.
