One of my closest friends, Rick Fowler, unexpectedly lost his son, Jeremy Fowler, on Sunday. Jeremy was admitted to the hospital about 10 days prior due to having a massive stroke. A drain tube was put in his head to release pressure. Jeremy showed signs of improvement, and it seemed Rick would soon maybe get to bring his boy home. But that was not the case... Thursday, when they took Jeremy's tube out, he had another massive stroke. Jeremy didn't gain consciousness again. Rick made the very difficult decision to remove him from life support on Sunday to let him pass in peace. Jeremy was only 39 years old. He didn't have any insurance. So we will be using the funds for a funeral service for Jeremy. Rick is doing his best to make arrangements; however, you can imagine funeral costs nowadays on a fixed income are nearly impossible.
