Update 8/13/24:

Dear friends and family, it is with a heavy heart that we announce Jeremy has reached the end of his earthly journey. Sadly, he passed on Friday August 9th at 6:40pm. We do find joy in knowing he is now resting in peace with the Father of all creation. We are very thankful for all the prayers, well wishes and good will sent our way during the last 4 years. Jeremy was an outstanding human, a wonderful husband, father, friend, brother, uncle, nephew and son. He will be dearly missed. We also find peace in knowing he is no longer trapped in a physical body that stopped working and is without pain or suffering. Rather, he is celebrating being in the presence of our Lord and is joyfully praising Him waiting to see us again, as we are him. Kira could use some financial relief for the immediate costs of funeral expenses, and we are more than halfway to our original goal. If you feel led to give, thank you so much in advance! Love and Blessings to all! This GFM account has been opened to help our dear family members and friends Jeremy and Kira Deweber. On May 22nd Jeremy was diagnosed with a 2-1/2" brain tumor.  The immediate course of action necessary was surgery.  On May 28th a successful tumor removal surgery was performed.  Unfortunately, the biopsy revealed it is a malignant tumor, and the type of cancer is called Glioblastoma (GBM). It is an aggressive cancer so they will be starting Radiation and Chemotherapy right away. Earlier in the year, Jeremy was laid off and they had to purchase supplementary insurance. We have now discovered, this insurance is inadequate and will not cover certain aspects of his care. Current out of pocket expenses are near Twenty Thousand dollars! His current employer insurance has not kicked in yet.  They have been blessed with six weeks of income, but after that they will be on FMLA to preserve his employment, but it does not pay for out of work time. Being able to cover these out of pocket expenses and continue paying the mortgage payment is the primary financial concern at this time. Any help given in these strange times means even more now than ever before. Let's band together and bless this family with our finances. Please also keep them in your thoughts and prayers, together and with the power of our Lord and Savior we can beat this!
