On the 31st of March 2025, our beloved Jeremey Toomey, known to so many as JT was tragically taken from us. His sudden and unexpected passing has left an unfillable void in the hearts of his wife Kirren, his children Tye, Narli, and Rylee, and all his extended family and friends.
JT was the kind of man who made everyone feel like family. A devoted husband, a proud and loving father, a cherished brother, uncle, and friend his warmth, strength, and kindness touched everyone who knew him.
With a heart of gold, JT was always the first to lend a hand and never asked for anything in return. His generosity, humility, and selflessness were just a few of the countless reasons he was so deeply respected and loved.
He was a pillar in the Narrabri, Wee Waa, and Boggabri communities a strong and proud leader within the Aboriginal community, and a much-valued figure in local rugby league, most recently with the Boggabri Kangaroos RLFC. JT’s impact on the lives of others will be remembered for generations to come.
As his family faces the unimaginable grief of losing him, we are reaching out to those who loved and respected JT. Any contribution, big or small, towards his farewell and to support his family during this incredibly difficult time would mean the world.
Let’s come together to honour JT’s legacy and give back some of the love he so freely gave to others.
