On the night of March 20th my brother, Jeremey Fansler, was found slumped over in his bathtub by his wife, Crystal. Jeremey had been complaining of a headache, but as time went on it became obvious that something more serious than a headache was going on.
After several attempts to get Jeremey out of the bathtub and his obvious disorientation, Crystal and Tracy called 911. Paramedics arrived and rushed Jeremey to Ukiah Adventist Hospital where they took several scans of his brain and found that he had suffered a ruptured aneurysm.
Ukiah Adventist immediately called for Jeremey to be airlifted to UCSF where he underwent a procedure to drain the blood and release pressure from around his brain. UCSF inserted two coils on either side of his frontal lobes that will continue to relieve the pressure and inserted a PICC line. They are keeping him intubated and sedated at this time so that they can closely monitor him.
It is expected that Jeremey will remain at UCSF for a minimum of one month, but this could change depending on the progress he makes. Any donations received will assist with all expenses that accumulate during Jeremey’s treatment and stay at UCSF.
I will provide updates as they become available.
