Help Jerdy Lopez Continue His Dreams

About Jerdy:
Jerdy Lopez was born and raised in the Dominican Republic where dreams of being a professional baseball player seemed out of reach. It wasn’t until an opportunity came his way. In October 2021 he hugged and kissed his family for the last time and bravely traveled to Wichita Kansas where he would attend Life Prep Academy. At Life Prep Jerdy had the opportunity to get an education, play baseball, and learn the English language.
Jerdy’s Accomplishments:
Deeply missing his family Jerdy poured his focus into his academia and baseball. He buried his head in his books excelling in his courses and eventually tackling the English language! Fun fact, he has worked so hard on his English that he now translates for the other players on his team!
Success in the classroom isn’t his only achievement, he also became the #1 ranked 2023 shortstop in Kansas according to PBR! Because of his high GPA and incredible baseball talents, he earned himself a scholarship to Western Oklahoma State where he can continue his education and pursue his dreams of playing baseball at the next level.
Why Jerdy Needs Our Help:
Jerdy has not seen his family or his mother since 2021. Over the past several years his mother became ill and was unable to pay his school tuition. Worried Jerdy would want to return home, his family hid her sickness from him as they wanted him to keep focusing on his dream. It wasn’t until recently he learned of his mother’s illness and that his family used the tuition money for her medical expenses. Jerdy now finds himself in a familiar situation where his dreams seem out of reach...Again...
In order for Jerdy to continue his education and baseball dreams at Western Oklahoma State he will need his diploma. However, because his tuition has not been paid his diploma will be withheld and he will be sent back to the Dominican Republic.
Jerdy left everything he knew and loved behind to better his life. He devoted countless hours to studying and learning. He worked tirelessly to learn the English language. He dedicated his efforts to perfecting his baseball skills. He earned a college scholarship. He chased his dreams. He succeeded. He deserves to go to school. He deserves to play ball at the next level.
With graduation quickly approaching we are reaching out to our community in desperation! Your donation will go directly towards Jerdy's tuition so that he can graduate and continue pursuing his dreams at the college level. It is our goal to see him walk across that stage and obtain his diploma! He earned it! Please help Jerdy continue his dreams!
