Jenson Joseph Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Jenson Joseph sadly passed away on 30th April 2024.
He was an incredibly well-loved and popular young man who touched the hearts of a great many people. Anyone who was lucky enough to meet him knows how much of a hilarious, spirited and kind individual he truly was!
In honour of the wonderful life of Jenson Joseph his family and friends are organising a memorial football game in order to raise money to help prevent more people losing loved ones in such tragic manners.
Jenson was taken from us far too soon and his presence will be greatly missed by every single person who met and knew him.
The circumstances of his death were very sudden, shocking and tragic. Jenson suffered from Anaphylaxis and his death was the result of an anaphylactic reaction, however we are not certain what it was that caused the reaction.
All of the money which we raise in Jenson's honour will be donated in its entirety to Anaphylaxis UK https://www.anaphylaxis.org.uk
A charity which helps raise awareness and helps people understand what anaphylaxis is, researches ways to reduce the effects of anaphylaxis, and find possible causes of anaphylactic reactions sooner which will therefore hopefully help prevent tragedies such as what happened to Jenson from happening to others.
The Memorial Match will be taking place in York on the 27th April 2025 from 12pm onwards.
Around a year on from the date of Jenson's death this will give us a chance to pay tribute to him in a way that he would have loved.
There will be 2 matches of 60 minutes.
York Vs Bradford 13:00 kick off
Fulford Vs St John Old boys 14:45 kick off
Poised to be 2 very entertaining and high spirited matches which will bring together just a small portion of the many, many people brought together by the wonderful young man that Jenson was.
Joining together the 2 cities where Jenson lived and 4 teams full of people had the pleasure of knowing and playing football with Jen.
Please try and make it down to support on the day if you can!
Jenson absolutely loved football and always tried to entertain his teammates and friends.
A skilful, highly technical and strong player, he was a vital member of any team he played for, bringing not only huge ability but an unlimited supply of hilarious comments, which would have both his teammates and opponents in stitches of laughter.
The Games will be a chance for Jenson's family and friends to remember him in a way he would have loved, having a laugh, playing some high quality football and doing what Jenson did above all else, bringing people together.
