Current Situation:
Shortly after 5am on August 10th a tragic house fire took the life of Rick Jensen, 73. Also in the home were brother, Dennis and mother, Fern Jensen.

Mrs. Fern Jensen, 92 is being treated at Emmanuel Hospital in Portland, Oregon for burns sustained in the fire. Dennis, 71 though not physically affected by the fire, has been displaced and is currently staying with his son.

Background:
My name is Delana Libbus and Dennis is my step father. I did not grow up with the Jensen family, but nevertheless have considered them family for the last two decades. Dennis is a Vietnam veteran and both he and his brother Rick followed in the footsteps of their father and served our country.

The Jensens have suffered so much loss in recent years with the untimely death of Dennis' only daughter, Stephanie, to cancer and now the loss of Rick in this tragic house fire. 

The Jensen family matriarch, Fern Jensen is one of the most resilient people I have ever met, her capacity for love is extraordinary, and I know she can pull through this physical trauma. She has lost everything in this fire: including her oldest son, her home, and everything she owns.
