Jennifer Osterhoudt a 45 year old mother of 4 has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Melanoma. A rapidly spreading skin cancer that attacks other organs of the body. After extensive treatments chemo- radiation it just seemed to progress. The doctors have given her 6 months to live. We decided to try to send Jen and her family on Jen's lifelong dream trip to see Ireland. And make some memories for her children to cherish always.
That pretty much changed
On Thursday September 24, 2015 Jen was supposed to see her oldest son. He didn't show up and he didn't call and his phone went straight to voicemail. She found this disturbing so she got a ride over to his apt. She found Ryan very near Death. He had been beaten so severely he was unconscious and unresponsive. She was later told if had been another hour he would have died. Ryan suffered both collapsed lungs, broken ribs, broken hand, leg and spine. His assailant cut off half his ear and left him for Dead. He was beaten with his own guitar after he was already unconcious. The perpetrator is in custody.
Ryan is currently fighting for his life at Albany Medical Center. He has had 2 brain bleeds and his future is uncertain. He is on a ventilator and an intracranial box. He is in a medically induced coma. And the doctors do not know if he has suffered extensive brain damage at this time.
This family needs your support. Jen has transportation problems to see her son. She needs help with medical expenses, transportation, possibly some holistic treatments to lengthen her life's duration. Help with her family since she cannot work.

My Name is Jill Boris Smith and I am a local business owner...one of my businesses being a DJ. I like to give back and help people. I have known Jen since we were kids. I and a group of very special women decided to try and help this ravaged family. Jen the sweet, kind hearted, wonderful mothers needs help. And we as a community of Humans with compassion have to get together and help.
You can come meet Jen on October 24 at the Penny Social we will be throwing her at the Ruby Firehouse. Doors open at Noon and callings are at 2:00.
