Jen's 24-hr Chief Challenge for Girl in the Wild
I'm Jen Segger , a Squamish-based international adventure athlete, mom, coach, and business owner.
My goal is to do as many laps of The Chief as possible in 24hrs to raise money to send struggling teenage girls to Girl In The Wild 's free confidence-building camps this summer.
Through this past year I have had the outdoors to cling to, to make me feel normal, to escape to and to draw inspiration from. I know that this has not been the case for so many people out there, especially young women. With depression, self harm and suicide on the rise as a result of lockdowns, isolation and loneliness, I KNOW that people need nature, friendship and support more than ever. I want to dedicate my efforts to getting as many girls to camp as possible this Summer so that they know there is a horizon and positive opportunities DO exist.
If you're keen, choose your own challenge this month and push your limits alongside me. Tag #jensegger and #girlinthewild and we'll cheer you on fiercely from the sidelines.
