My name is Jenny. I was diagnosed in June 2016 for a second time with Breast Cancer and I  have recently had  6 months of Chemotherapy.  In February this year I had genetic testing due to my strong family history of breast/ovarian/ prostate cancer and unfortunately I tested positive to having the BRCA 2 gene. This means I need to have more surgery to reduce my risk of cancer returning.

I currently work full time and have 2 teenage boys to support (we all know they can be a handful). Having this surgery will mean taking a lot of time off work to recover and I don’t have a lot of holiday or sick pay owing as I’ve had a lot of time off already due to breast cancer.
