For those that know Jenny, you'll know that she's a devoted wife, mother to a gorgeous 3-year old boy Wiley, and a passionate small business owner. I know Jenny not only as my brother's wife and his perfectly-matched other half, but as a true sister that I lucked into in this life.

While on the surface you could mistake Jenny for being quiet and reserved, you'll find one of the most observant, intuitive, deeply caring and whip-smart women you'll ever meet.

Jenny is a fierce lover and protector of those blessed to be in her inner circle. From her devotion to her family and their farm in Sweden, her quintessential place as the wise elder sibling, to her deep love of her husband Brad and their precocious and sweet son Wiley... Jenny loves with everything she has.

Jenny is a multi-passionate woman who seems to have no limits to what she can do. Research specialist turned MBA? Check. Photographer who brings out the soulful essence of your beloved pet? Check. Entrepreneur on a mission to transform women's relationships with money? Check. Loving mother balancing beautifully-fleeting toddler moments and her client work? Check. Wife and bestie to her soulmate? Check. Writer of books and money oracles while making delicious “pickle chicken” or coconut fudge brownies? Yep, she does that, too.

Our beloved Jenny's life took a sudden twist in September 2023 when a routine mammogram unveiled a deeper concern. Jenny's finely-tuned intuition urged her to pursue further testing and, after weeks of advocating for herself in our very complex medical system, we've learned that Jenny has inflammatory breast cancer. This is not the news we wanted, and there are still many more answers, appointments, and decisions in the future.

We know a few things so far:

  • There's a meticulous six-month plan laid out by her care providers.
  • Jenny is scheduled to start chemo right away. She'll be receiving her treatments on Fridays and this will continue mostly through the fall and holiday season.
  • In the spring there will likely be surgery, with radiation following.
  • She's likely to be on an oral medication for years.

This road will not be an easy one. While her medical team has a well laid-out plan for her treatment and healing, the mounting medical bills (and other expenses to come) are causing significant strain. The uncertainty surrounding how the treatment will affect Jenny's body, mind, and spirit is quite overwhelming, which is why we're reaching out for help during this challenging time.

Most of all, Jenny's most precious treasure in this world is her family. Our hope is that by centering Jenny, Brad and Wiley's needs during this time, Jenny can remain focused on her own healing while being held in comfort and ease by her community.

Any financial resources provided (regardless of size) will:

  • cover high deductible medical expenses (deductibles alone are over $8000 per year, which is $16,000+ within the next 4 months)
  • offer essential childcare support for Wiley (likely to increase with Jenny focusing on appointments)
  • mitigate increased fuel costs to appointments
  • offset expenses for chemo care supplies and weekly hospital visits
  • receive wellness care between treatments (out of pocket/ cash pay providers)
  • provide access to nourishing food and reduce the time needed to cook (meal prep and delivery services)
  • offset earnings if Jenny needs to reduce her client load in the future

The blessed part of this process is that, by following her strong intuition early-on, Jenny seems to have caught her cancer diagnosis much sooner than most women might, which is a boon when dealing with inflammatory breast cancer. For this reason, we have a very strong conviction that Jenny will triumph in her healing journey.

We ask that you speak to, pray for, and think of Jenny from a place of healing and triumph, too. Please refrain from using Dr. Google stats or sharing stories about others who have struggled with cancer when speaking to her. While we are happy to answer your questions as we can (although you may have to be patient in our responses), our focus is on cultivating a strong mindset and healing environment.

What Jenny and Brad need most is the unwavering love, support and faith from their family and friends, along with financial donations to ease the burden of this plot-twist in their story. Please consider giving anything that you can to support Jenny in her process of reclaiming her health and vitality.

We love you all and send our endless gratitude. More updates to come!
