Help support me during my unpaid medical leave

Hey there, my name is Jenny. First and foremost, I have to admit this is very difficult for me to do because I feel embarrassed. It’s hard for me to ask for help, because I keep my medical struggles to myself. I am trying to raise funds to help cover costs of my medical bills and keep afloat from missing work due to hospitalizations.

In 2021, I was diagnosed with a liver disease and Grade D esophagitis. I have been hospitalized with complications of this over 20 times since then and had multiple procedures, surgeries, and lost jobs due to absences. I have even lost friends because I was too afraid to tell them I was sick again or seeming like a flake when really I was avoiding admitting I was in the hospital AGAIN.

I currently owe a little over $65,000 between hospital stays, physicians, ambulance rides, and specialists. I have been receiving financial support mostly from my grandmother for the entire summer and I can no longer feel it’s acceptable to exhaust her resources. I have exhausted my own resources as well and do not qualify for most assistance programs. The funds would go toward paying down medical debts and establishing with a surgeon to repair some of the damage done to my stomach.
