Jenny’s cremation and bringing her home.
Donation protected
Hi. My name is Jessica and on the 23rd of March, 2025, my mother unexpectedly passed away of a heart attack while in Wellington, New Zealand where she was supposed to be receiving a stent.
She was only 60. Her name was Jenny and she was the light of so many things in life - she was the anchor of our family.
She had two daughters, Tammy and myself, and she loved us beyond words. The only thing I think she loved more was her grandbabies, Zaine, 9, Kai, 4, Everlee, 2, and Lilith, 1. Her world revolved around them, despite living away from three of them.
For 13 years, mum, Tammy and I lived in Australia and for 7 of those years, we were homeless. The stress of it all made her ill - she had a heart attack in 2016 and her health declined immensely from that point. With the generosity of many, mum and I were able to come back to New Zealand and start over the best we could, but Tammy stayed behind to raise her first son. Being so far away from her babies broke my mum’s heart and all she ever wanted was to be back with them. And I want to make that happen for her.
I’m not only aiming to raise funds for her cremation, which stands at close to $4000, but a way for me to bring her back to her home - her family. Home was never a place for her, home was always family. And she wanted so badly for us all to be back together.
As a solo mum, trying to accumulate the funds myself while keeping a roof over mine and my daughters head isn’t easy and so I’m asking for help. I want to be with my sister, my nephews and niece and I want to bring mum home.
