On Friday May 26th, Jenny had a hemorrhagic stroke, (basil ganglia, it was a large brain bleed but has stopped) that has caused left side paralysis and several other side effects. Jenny has devoted a large portion of her life taking care of others as a paramedic, EMT, fire fighter and most recently became a Registered Nurse. She has a long road of recovery, therapy and hospital stays. This is the first step her children are taking so Jenny won’t have to worry about finances and can concentrate on recovery. June 6th UPDATE-Jenny has been moved to an OSF rehab facility to being her rehab process. She is facing a long road and a lot of unknowns. At this point we do not know where this road will lead her but we are hopeful. June 13th UPDATE! She has been in therapy for about 10 days now and another 3 and a half weeks are expected. She is making HUGE strides but still faces challenges. She gets tired easy, still has paralysis of left side and her left eye will probably never recover. We have plans for her to come home with a family member once it’s time to be released. June 27th UPDATE- Jenny is doing great with her rehab, she is walking good and slowly learning some skills with her left arm. She has about a week and a half left of therapy and will be able to go home. HOME is the question for her right now, she is unsure on where that will be as she has lost her income and is waiting on any type of disability. She is looking to relocate closer to family and does want to try to live independently with the help of home health and therapy. We greatly appreciate the prayers and help through all of this. Her friends and family are such a blessing.
