As Jenny’s best friend, I wanted to set this up to help her and Chad during this time. As many of you know, Jenny has had medical problems for over 30 years with having Ulcerative Colitis and having her colon removed at age 18. She has had many abdominal surgeries over the years, but this current one is pretty significant. With this surgery they had to remove even more small bowel which means Jenny now has Short Bowel Syndrome. Because of this, Jenny will be getting nutrition through an IV (TPN) for 12 consecutive hours a day which may continue for the rest of her life.
Jenny started her new job in December 2024. She ran out of PTO hours/days very quickly when she was in the hospital the week of Christmas and then the week of Valentine’s Day. And now, she has been in the hospital since February 20, 2025. Since she hasn’t been there long, she doesn’t qualify for FMLA. But we are very hopeful they will hold her position, we just aren’t sure when she will be able to return yet.
We are optimistic that Jenny will be coming home this week and know she will be required to have a Visiting Nurse stop by a few times a week to check on her.
Donations would be respectfully appreciated during this healing process to help lighten the load of this financial hardship of these unfortunate circumstances.
Thank you for your continued support and prayers.
