Jenny Jones is a loving, giving person. For example, instead of trading in her car, she gave it to someone who needed one! She is a hard worker and a great encourager!

On August 11, 2016, Jenny went for a routine eye exam because she noticed she was loosing her perferial vision. The optomitrist told her to get to the emergency room right away, where she had to under go a CT Scan, MRI and lab work. She was then sent to Mass General Hospital by ambulance. After much testing, her diagnosis was that she had a Giant Pituitary Adenoma (Tumor.)

Although most appointments for surgery are set about a month out, Jenny's was done the next week because of the size of the tumor. She had lost basically all of her perferial vision, was having double vision and the tumor was not only affecting her optic nerves, but was also wrapped around her ceriberal artery, along with other complications. The surgery was done on August 18 and was successful in terms of this type of tumor.

Most of the tumor was removed, except for the part that was wrapped around her ceriberal artery, as they can't risk causing a bleed in her brain. The tumor is Non-cancerous, thank God! She has received a large part of her sight back, her headaches are less frequent and some of the complications are gone. However, other complications remain and some new ones have developed.

The residual tumor has active cells which will cause it to grow back. Therefore, Jenny is going to need radiation 5 day a week for 5 weeks to kill those cells. As of now, her pituitary gland is not currently functioning correctly. Her hormone levels are not all as they should be, so they are testing these things. We are hoping these will return to normal as time progresses.

During this process, Jenny has had an amazing strength and outlook. This has certainly been a lot to take in and process, but she is standing strong on her faith and doing all she can to fight whatever fear is trying to raise it's ugly head!

Due to her illness, Jenny was not able to work for 5 weeks to recover from surgery. She has Short Term Disability, but unfortunately it did not start until she was out for 30 days!! So she was only paid from STD for one week. When she did go back to work, it was only part time. However, those paychecks were eaten up with having to pay her insurance premiums. Thankfully, she was able to start back to work full time on October 10! However, because she is going to need radiation, she will again be out of work for at least 5 weeks. Radiation is 5 days a week for 5 weeks!

This Go Fund Me Page is to raise money for Jenny, who is single and doesn't have a second income, to help her pay for the following items:
Everyday living expenses while she is out of work for radiation
Medical Bills that the insurance company does not allow.
Medical Bills that that fall under her deductible.

Help us help Jenny. We appreciate your support and pray you are abundantly blessed!!
