Jenny passed away suddenly on January 14th, 2023 at 40 years old. She was a loving, dedicated mother, a lifelong artist, one of the truly unique people in this world.

She leaves behind Ruby, our 6-year-old daughter, and many, many lives who she touched through her kindness and generosity of spirit. Her mother, Gale McGranahan, father, Jerry Heffernon, and stepfather, Paul Thober, are grieving along with Ruby and myself. We will keep her memory alive and hope that her suffering has ended.

She will be cremated at the Chapel of the Chimes in Oakland, CA, where we hope to have a portion of her ashes kept in its beautiful halls. We will also be scattering some of her ashes along the northern CA coast within the next two or three months, as well as a memorial celebration of her life in Oakland around the same time. Her family and I will be in touch with more details for those who wish to attend.

Ruby and I would be forever grateful for any help towards the costs of cremation and placing her ashes in the Chapel of the Chimes. We will also need to pay for moving expenses, cleaning and repairing her apartment, and storing her belongings until we can find an appropriate place for them.
