Jenny first hurtled into my life in 2007, working the night shift as an L&D nurse at Clark Memorial Hospital. Anyone who has ever worked nights as a nurse knows that anything that CAN go wrong will, and usually at 4am. But whenever I worked with Jenny, I always was relieved to know that a smarter, better nurse than me was in charge. And she did it with such style and humor. I never laughed so hard as when I worked with Jenny. After a few years of working with us at Clark, she left for greener pastures but somehow she kept finding her way back, first as our charge nurse in L&D and then later again as a nurse at the Tree of Life Birth Center. She was a staunch patient advocate and supported birthing women and babies with her whole heart. We all loved watching her grow into her role as a Grandmother, and she loved those grandbabies fiercely. They were the light of her life.
The best thing about working with Jenny was that she could always anticipate our needs, often before we knew them ourselves. Now it's our turn to anticipate the needs of Jenny's family. Anything that you could give in Jenny's memory would help Larry, Olivia, and the family take the time they need to process and celebrate Jenny's life, without having to worry about bills for the time being. Thank you in advance for any support you can send.
