Jenny & Dave's Morley 10K for Archie's Caravan
We will be running (jogging/staggering etc.) the Morley 10K road race on Sunday the 6th October, to raise funds for Archie's Caravan, a local charity that is very close to our hearts.
Archie's Caravan is a charity set up by our friends in memory of their little boy Archie, who tragically lost his life to a rare form of brain tumor, aged just three. In the brief time that our family knew Archie, he touched all of our lives and formed an unbreakable friendship with our son, Joe. This is why Archie's Caravan means so much to us.
Archie loved the beach and during his illness, his family were offered the chance of a free stay in a friend's caravan, to create some wonderful memories together with his brother and sister. It was this holiday that inspired Archie's family to set up Archie's Caravan in his memory. The charity exists to offer free holidays at Reighton Sands to families dealing with the devastating news that their child has cancer, the respite that this gives to families cannot be underestimated.
Archie's Caravan is a small charity run entirely by volunteers made up of Archie's family and their close friends, so every single penny raised goes directly to providing free holidays for families in the unimaginable situation of dealing with a child cancer diagnosis. Please take a look at the website to read more about the wonderful charity that is Archie's Caravan.
Thank you so much for reading our story.
