Hi everyone! My name is Jenny Calderon, a 46-year-old mother, wife, grandmother and survivor. In October of 2005, I was diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia. I had been taking oral chemotherapy for 17 years, a long time of suffering. In December of 2021, I began to feel very ill and was admitted to the Parkview hospital. I was in ketoacidosis; I am diabetic, and my Leukemia was in the acute Lymphoblastic stage, so after being in the hospital for a week, I was transferred to Denver to Presbyterian St Lukes Medical Center in the Colorado Blood Cancer Institute in the ICU unit. I was given various types of chemotherapy and was there for 65 days. I was so happy that they released me so that I was able to attend my son Christian's graduation. Unfortunately, I was later admitted to the hospital because my chemotherapy was not working. I have been in and out of the hospital, and my doctors were looking for a donor so that I could have a stem cell transplant. I appreciate everyone who joined the National Donor Center Bethematch.org to save my life. I was admitted on July 30th, 2022 and am receiving chemotherapy again to prepare for my StemCell Transplant on August 5th, 2022. After my transplant, I will be lodged in an apartment or hotel because I will be seen by my doctors every week for 100 days. Many costs include food, lodging, and gas, and I would appreciate help in my time of need. I am asking for prayers that everything goes well. May God Bless You All.
Thank you,
