Help Jenny and Jordy Astudillo

Hello friends and family. The GoFundMe is being set up for one of our beloved friends and NCRC staff members, Jenny, and her son Jordy. They need our help and support. On April 19th, Jenny's precious 11-month-old baby, Jordy, was diagnosed with an inoperable ATRT brain tumor. An ATRT tumor, (atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor), is a very rare, aggressive brain tumor of the central nervous system. The tumor is often fatal with a survival rate of less than 10% in infants Jordy's age. He faces an uphill battle, to say the least. Jordy will need extensive medical treatment and round-the-clock care. The doctors plan to begin with aggressive chemotherapy and radiation immediately in the hopes it may slow the growth of the tumor and allow Jenny more time to spend with her baby boy.

Jenny is a single mom and the sole provider for Jordy who has shown unparalleled strength and composure during what can only be described as a horrific time. She will have to take leave from her job at NCRC as she has essentially moved into the Smillow Cancer Center at the Children's Hospital in New Haven to be by Jordy's bedside and care for him. The medical expenses alone will be crippling and anything that can be done to alleviate some of these costs is greatly appreciated. All donations will go directly toward Jordy's medical bills.
