Her name is Jennifer Boyd; she's my sister-in-law, wife to my baby brother, and mom to 2 fabulous kids. She is a 53-year-old woman who, up until October 2020, lived a happy and blessed life. Little did she know that an innocent trip to her local grocery store to pick up fish sticks for her Autistic daughter would have lasting effects on her personal and professional life. While seeking help from an employee to find the fish sticks her daughter was insisting on, she slipped and fell on some water that had pooled in the aisle. The fall resulted in several bodily injuries that she is still recovering from, but an undiagnosed head trauma has affected her ways that is causing turmoil in her everyday life. After an 18-month long ordeal stemming from a slip/fall accident at her local grocery store resulting in an undiagnosed concussion, she was finally diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder. A disorder that has wreaked havoc on her life, causing her to be out of work since late March 2022.

Functional Neurological Disorder has affected her ability to retain new information and skills, recall recent events, and interact with people in conversations, negatively affecting her ability to work.

We are starting a GoFundMe Account for her and her family to help pay her ever-growing medical bills. With up to 4 Physical Therapy sessions per week and monthly doctor appointments, this will help Jennifer and David to concentrate on her getting better and fight to get back to the person she used to be before Functional Neurological Disorder took her beautiful voice and loving memories.
