In June, I did something bad. I was Fearless and thought I was Untouchable when my car ran out of GASOLINE, so I was the Foolish One. That's When I pushed my own Getaway Car... over ME!
Long Story Short, I could never in my Wildest Dreams imagine my Cruel Summer. I shattered my pelvis and fractured my upper arm and shoulder, clavicle, and ribs on both sides. I thought it was Bye Bye Baby, but I was The Lucky One. I had surgeries for almost a Fortnight; then the pain was like Death by a Thousand Cuts.
When I was Out of the Woods, I asked, Is it Over Now? My family and friends were so supportive and caring with prayers and saying, Soon You'll get Better.
I finally have my Eyes Open and Everything has Changed. I'm still Delicate, but after spending time in hospitals and a nursing home, I'm ready to Shake it Off and Begin Again.
It's September now and I'm finally a Girl at Home. I'm learning to walk again and am starting to use my right shoulder.
The worst part of being lucky is the financial strain and stress it has put on my family. Between medical bills and equipment, lost wages, follow-up appointments, and a broken washer (among other things), we are barely scraping by.
