Jenn's Car Repair Fund
Donation protected
Hi, hello! Thanks for taking to read this.
I'm Jenn, and I could use your help. Like so many others, COVID has taken a toll on my family's finances. I lost my job, got it back, then lost it again. I recently accepted an offer for remote work, which was then withdrawn the next day without explaination. My husband has been able to work throughout, but his salary is stretched to the breaking point, and we find ourselves at one of those breaking points. We're a one family car, and our car is showing her age. A few months ago, the Check Engine light came on. We've tried everything we can to fix it ourselves, changing filters and wires, but every time we check the code on the light, it's showing a different problem. It turns out we need a new catalytic converter, a repair which requires removing part of the engine, and which we don't have the means to do at home. Unfortunately, we also don't have the financial means for. We've been trying to save for the repair, but we both recently contracted COVID, which dealt us another blow, and now, we're out of time.
In the state of Georgia, we're required to pass an emissions test before we can renew our tag. Having a Check Engine light on is an automatic fail, and our tag expires in four days, on my husband's birthday. We need roughly $3,000 for the necessary repairs, so we're asking for help in order to keep our car on the road.
I know times are really rough for everyone right now, so even if you can't donate, I so very much appreciate you taking the time to read and, if you're comfortable, share this fundraiser. Thank you, with all my heart.
