Jenn’s Battle Against Cancer

Long Story Short: In January, Jenn had a cold. She noticed a Lymph nodes swollen in her arm pit area. A little while after, she noticed a lump. Immediately, the doctors wanted a biopsy. Within 4 months, Jenn was seen, tested, and diagnosed with Stage 3, Triple Negative breast cancer, that is also in her lymph nodes, and given 18 months of survival. After a bone scan and confirming the cancer did not spread, the oncologist created a treatment plan— Jenn is undergoing Chemotherapy once a week, for at least a year, on the highest of doses with a 60% chance it will be successful- it WILL be successful because we are manifesting it, and when it is, that gives her a 5 year survival rate of 97%.

If you have not had the pleasure of meeting Jenn, one conversation will melt your heart. She is this tiny, blue eyed blonde, with such a soft tone, and the biggest heart. You may have seen Jenn, working at the local dentistry. She was immediately put off work, and unlikely to work again. This decreases their income drastically. Jenn mothers/step mothers 7 children, and has an incredibly supportive fiancé who is now the sole provider, the pressure would be immense.

We, her support team, are hoping to help alleviate some of the expenses that will add up quickly, bills, gas to treatments, etc. I am sure we can all agree how quickly things can pile up. We do plan on a benefit dance, and some small things in between for her journey. Community, love, and support are so very important at a time like this. Let’s show Jenn that Smiths Falls and area is fighting with her, her children, her fiance, and countless friends.
