Jennifer's Fight

Jennifer is a loving mother, devoted wife, nurturing daughter, caring sister, and supportive friend. Jennifer will celebrate her 44th year of life in January. She has spent the last 10 years working along side with her family at The Stophel Companies in Charlotte NC. Her smile is contagious, her life simple yet profound, and her faith strong. Jennifer was recently diagnosed with AML, Acute Myeloid Leukemia, cancer of the blood and bone. While the news has been devastating to receive, Jennifer has already begun her fight with the same focus and resolve she approaches daily life. She is undergoing Chemotherapy at CMC while awaiting the results of several tests that will steer her course. In this phase of her treatment, Jennifer will remain in the hospital for the next five weeks. It is our prayer that she will be a candidate for a bone marrow transplant which could provide a cure for her. We also have a Caring Bridge page for friends and family to follow Jennifers progress and leave messages for her. Jennifer would love visitors, we are asking for those who would like to, bring her an ornament for her Christmas tree. Please be mindful of her health, if you have been sick or have a cold please send her a card and let her know you are thinking of her. We encourage all family and friends to share their thoughts, prayers, and words of encouragement here at Jennifer's Story.
