Jennifer has a $9,000 out-of-pocket surgery but also the countless trips she has left to appointments in Columbia. Jennifer Sanders has had enough suffering but now has to work days, nights, and weekends to try and pay for this life-changing surgery. Could you imagine going through a traumatic situation and living with the injury every day as a constant reminder? Having vision loss with years of no hope? Then one day, you find a doctor and procedure that can give you back what you lost so many years ago and hope. A blessing but unfortunately with a high price because insurance refuses to pay, calling it cosmetic. Please watch the below story that ran on KCTV5. You know why Jennifer wanted to do the interview? It was to educate and hopefully help others who would benefit from this surgery. Not only that, but to try and make a difference with insurance companies so everyone can have this opportunity.
