As Jennifer’s daughter I have decided to take it upon myself to help my mom start a fundraiser. If you know her, you also know she would give anyone the shirt off her back even in the coldest weather (and she truly hates being cold.) I’m hoping that it’s time she see some of that good karma come back to her during a great time of need.

Unfortunately, she recently took a hard fall and now has a broken hip that she will need time to recover from. It is expected that she will be off work for quite some time and require hands on assistance for 4-6 weeks. Mom has not been able to carry health insurance for financial reasons and is only insured for a temporary period of time. We are not sure when she will be able to fully return to work just yet.

Mom had spent an extensive period of time caring for my grandmother before she sadly passed away in June. Though Grandma may have been the matriarch, mom has seamlessly stepped into that role. She proudly put together the most beautiful Thanksgiving dinner for the family just as Grandma would have wanted and just as Grandma would have done. I know it pains her so much to not be able to do the same for us this Christmas. Each and every single day her kindness is displayed through her loving and selfless actions for others and although asking for help is extremely difficult to do, I am here doing it for her.

Because of the long road to recovery, we are asking for any amount possible to donate towards relieving some of the unexpected emotional and financial strain we expect to occur while she is out of work and healing.
