Jennifer's Journey to getting healthy

 

Hi there! Thank you so much for taking the time to be here reading this right now. I am fundraising to help cover medical expenses for Jennifer Grindle and assist her and her husband while they continue to search for answers & get Jennifer feeling like herself again. We know so many of you know her story and have helped in more ways than any of us can thank you for but, this is a long road and Jen needs as much support for her village as possible right now.

 

Jennifer is an amazing mother, grandma, wife, and friend and while her health has been declining over the past decade, this past 2 years have been some of the hardest. Jennifer has been out of work due to her health conditions and has spent the past 18 months seeing multiple doctor's and specialists and receiving almost every test under the sun. While Jennifer does have insurance now, her premiums and out of pocket expenses cost as much as a mortgage (to cover just herself) and this was still the cheapest option.

 

Jennifer has officially been diagnosed with lupus, which is a disease that occurs when your body's immune system attacks your own tissues and organs. She has already undergone radioactive ablation treatment for a toxic nodular goiter and after an ER trip a couple months back she was put on medications for her heart. After all of that, she is finally cleared to undergo breast surgery this week (5/24) to remove multiple masses in her breast. The pre-surgery biopsies came back inconclusive meaning they can't rule out the big “C” word quiet yet. 

 

Jennifer and Erick do so much for the people around them and are currently selling a lot of their favorite things to cover these big bills: keeping her insurance, getting all of her medications each month, ER visits, biopsies, surgeries, images, and bloodwork that seem never ending.
