Meet Lovebug (formerly Doja and then Freya - a few name changes)! But here is our little Bug <3
She was surrendered to Ozzi’s Angels Sunday night because of a birth defect. At this point, we aren’t even sure she is a boy or a girl. She was impacted with poop coming out of the wrong hole
She is eating, drinking, purring, playing, bright and alert and showing no signs of anything being wrong. She has no idea how truly unique and special she is <3
We have been recommended to go to UPenn or Cornell to follow up with this unique case. She is AIDS and leukemia negative. Such has a remarkable fighting spirit!
Please help us help this girl! We are going to be starting a GoFundMe to assist Lovebug on this journey and we are hopeful for a good outcome, but we understand this is a rare case with many uncertainties. She is certainly a fighter and we are going to give her the chance she deserves <3
We have an appointment on Tuesday, 30 Jan 24, at the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary Hospital with a geneticist/internal medicine specialist. The initial exam is $312.00. Her Emergency Visit at Northeast Vet was $350.00.
Please help support Lovebug's care! We will be posting more pictures and videos and information on her medical situation as soon as we know more. Until then, we are so grateful she is gaining weight, playful, bright, alert and happy!
