Jennifer’s Breast Cancer Medical Expenses

Dear friends and family,

As some of you may know, June 22nd of this year my sister, Jennifer Hamm, was diagnosed with stage 1a breast cancer. This news never comes at an easy time, but it was an exceptionally difficult one for my sister and our family. Jennifer is a hard-working mother, sister, grandmother, and friend that suddenly had to put being there for her family on hold while she fought this battle. Unfortunately this terrible disease is no stranger to our family, as I am a breast cancer survivor myself. Jennifer was my rock throughout my battle, and I could not have asked for anyone better to be by my side. She is not only my sister, she is my best friend. Now this time, I get to stand by her while she fights!

My sister is a fighter to say the least! She had surgery to remove the tumor and 4 lymph nodes on August 15th, and she did great besides dealing with a few of the common side effects. She has to have 4 chemo treatments every 3 weeks, and radiation will follow once that is done.

Cancer puts a halt on every aspect of your life - but my sister has done everything she can to remain positive and continue to show up for those she loves through each obstacle she has had to face. As a self-employed house cleaner, unfortunately if she is not working, there is no income coming into the house to pay for necessities and expenses. I am hoping that we can make life a little easier for Jennifer while she continues to fight her battle and kick cancer’s a$$!
