My sweet friend Jennifer Hines, underwent a bilateral mastectomy June 2015, then had to have a second surgery to remove both ovaries in August 2015 due to being BRCA positive. There were several complications and she lost her home because she was placed on bed rest rendering it impossible for her to work enough to cover her mortgage. Jennifer and her three children moved into a rental house and she began breast reconstruction in June of 2016. Since the breast reconstruction began, Jennifer has undergone eight (8) additional surgeries including an emergency surgery last Wednesday, January 25, to remove a hematoma under her right breast. Since then she has developed a vicious infection and is currently hospitalized and is on several IV antibiotics. Additionally, her blood pressure has been unstable. Jennifer is unable to work as she is once again on bed rest. We do not know the prognosis nor do we know how long she will be in the hospital or bed rest once she can return home. Jennifer is a very private person and very independent - for her to ask for help is a hard thing for her to do. She has 3 wonderful kiddos that are trying to help as much as they can. The oldest is a senior in high school and the youngest is in the 6th grade. Her middle child is a Sophomore. We are asking for donations to help her with rent, utilities, and medical bills during her recovery and upcoming surgeries. We are also asking for prayers for her and her family - especially for her children. As a single parent, unable to work, Jennifer has an almost impossible means of covering her living expenses for February. Please. Any amount will help.
