Jennifer's Wig

Donation protected
My mom believes half of her identity has had a heavy reliance on her hair and boobs. She was recently diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and will be starting chemo soon. Justly, she feels that her identity is being taken from her because it is likely she that will loose her hair... along with losing her boobs.

With this type of sickness it is normal for patients to...

...Resent their body...

...Loose themselves...

...Feel less than human...

As her daughter I want her to be confident.
I want her to feel beautiful. I want her to remain strong.

She has given me the honor to cut her hair when it begins to fall out. As a surprise for her, I would like to send her hair off to be made into a wig that she can wear during the rest of this long battle.  Because I know it will help her feel like herself, help her feel beautiful, help her feel human.

There are special organizations that create wigs for cancer patients. I would like to use the services of Compassionate Creations.

"Compassionate Creations was established in 2013 by co-founders Veronica Balch and Gieselle Blair with a mission to help women who are facing the challenges of hair loss. Our founders excel at providing their clients with the perfect custom wig through their first-hand expertise and compassionate approach to customer service."

A wig cost around a $1000, I'm hoping to raise $1500 to also cover the shipping and GoFundMe fees.

If 30 people donate $50 each  I will reach my goal. But any amount you can donate, would be greatly appreciated.
