UPDATE: A visitation will be held for Jennifer on Monday, October 9, 2023, at Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, also at the funeral home at 1:00 PM. Pastor Ryan Edgecombe will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery in Petersburg.

Many have also asked about a way to donate directly to a bank. There is now a fund set up under “Darin Yonkers,” at Petefish Skiles Bank in Petersburg, IL.

On the evening of October 4, 2023, Jennifer Younkers unexpectedly lost her life. To know Jen was to love her. Her warm presence, infectious laugh and compassionate nature were just a few of the many great qualities she had.

Jennifer is survived by her husband Darin, her 11 year son Ayden and 8 year old daughter Colleen. Ayden, Colleen and Darin were Jen’s entire world and I can’t explain in words how devastating this is for our entire family.

As Jennifer’s husband and children are now facing the unimaginable, our family asks that we come together in this most difficult time to ensure that they can do so comfortably.
